My philosophy for commissions has always been to deliver to you a piece of music that:
|  your choir will sound good singing (the piece might be challenging, but within their capabilities)
| is appropriate for the occasion & venue
| your audience can relate to
| No fee advance required for pieces 12 minutes or less. For pieces 1onger than 12 minutes, 1/2 the commission fee is required in advance.
